| The Power Control Room offers smart solutions to any drilling problems. DC drive technology for main drilling drives is still the most efficient way for land drilling rigs. The SCR (Semi-conducted Rectifiers) are easy to control and very reliable, even in extreme climate conditions and rough environment. Monitored via PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), status and system messages are shown in user-friendly format in central displays. Avoiding complex switching for main drives and auxiliaries, the system eliminates interface problems that can cause delay or down time. Optimised parameters for each motor can now increase the economic use of the pump, drawworks or rotary table. |
